This chair would have been made originally towards the end of “The Age of Comfort”, a period during which the Victorian furniture makers of the day pioneered furniture making and traditional upholstery using horsehair and lambswool. This period produced some of the most comfortable furniture that was available and set the standard for cabinetmakers and upholsterers of the day to aspire to. The methods and materials used then are the same methods and materials we use today to ensure we create the same comfort. The reception felt when sitting in a truly traditional upholstered armchair is unrivalled, hence our promise of unrivalled comfort that lasts a lifetime.
